With the new investments, Suki to scale AI tools in Zoom’s Workplace for Clinicians
The developer of ambient artificial intelligence technology, Suki Assistant, has recently secured $168 million in funding to expand its offerings within Zoom’s Workplace for Clinicians platform.
Why it Matters
Suki’s latest funding round will enable the company to address documentation burnout, enhance patient experiences, and grow its team. The investment from Zoom will play a crucial role in supporting these initiatives.
“This new capital allows us to scale our technology, offering new capabilities to our customers,” said Punit Soni, CEO and founder of Suki.
Zoom Ventures’ head of corporate development, Ricardo Anzaldua, emphasized the alignment of Suki’s AI technology with Zoom’s mission to drive productivity and improve patient experiences within healthcare.
Zoom highlighted the widespread adoption of its telehealth services by nearly 140,000 healthcare organizations, further solidifying the importance of integrating Suki’s AI tools into their platform.
The Larger Trend
Earlier, Suki partnered with Google Cloud to leverage their Vertex AI platform, introducing new AI-driven features like patient summaries and clinical Q&A. This collaboration aims to streamline clinical decision-making processes.
By utilizing Google’s AI capabilities, Suki Assistant now offers enhanced functionalities such as patient summaries, coding, dictation, and more to healthcare organizations, empowering them to make informed decisions efficiently.
On the Record
“We are excited to deepen our partnership with Suki through this investment,” stated Anzaldua. “Suki’s solutions enable health systems to seamlessly integrate AI tools for improved productivity and healthcare outcomes.”
