The 2025 Best in KLAS report has recently been released, showcasing the top performers in the healthcare IT industry. Epic has once again been named the top Overall Health System Suite, maintaining its position for the fifteenth consecutive year. Following closely behind are Meditech and Oracle Health. In the realm of independent physician practices, Athenahealth secured the top spot for the second year in a row, winning the Overall Independent Physician Practice Suite award.
Epic and Athenahealth were not the only winners in this year’s report. KLAS recognized a total of fourteen other Best in KLAS awards for Epic, solidifying its position as a leader in the industry. Additionally, Evergreen Healthcare Partners was named the top Overall Implementation Services Firm for the second year in a row, with exceptional scores above 95 in the segments it was measured in.
Clearwater, nimble, AGFA Healthcare, and Inovolon were highlighted as the most improved vendors for 2025, showing the highest percentage increase in score compared to the previous year’s report. KLAS introduced several new categories in this year’s report, focusing on artificial intelligence, telehealth, and other healthcare-delivery optimization tools.
Adam Gale, CEO of KLAS Research, expressed optimism about the future of healthcare, citing advancements in artificial intelligence, particularly in ambient speech technologies, as well as the overall improvement in organizations’ financial experiences. The report also introduced a new vendor-momentum indicator based on customer evaluations, reflecting a vendor’s momentum in a particular segment.
The report covers a wide range of segments, including Inpatient Clinical Care, Revenue Cycle Management, Healthcare Operations, Value-Based Care, Security & Privacy, Services & Consulting, Imaging Systems, and Payer Solutions. Each segment features top performers and key solutions that have excelled in their respective categories.
