CentralReach, a leading provider of software for autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) care, has recently made significant moves in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) with the acquisitions of SpectrumAI and AI Measures. These acquisitions will enhance CentralReach’s existing AI capabilities by incorporating tools for clinical assessments, video data capture, and predictive analytics into their Care360 electronic medical record (EMR) platform.
The terms of the deals have not been disclosed, but the CEOs of SpectrumAI and AI Measures will be joining CentralReach’s leadership team, along with their staff being integrated throughout the company. SpectrumAI is known for its predictive analytics and video capture platform for Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), while AI Measures offers a multi-modal assessment tool for care plan analysis. These tools will be integrated into CentralReach’s Care360 platform, which provides services for applied behavior analysis (ABA), multidisciplinary, and special education services.
CentralReach’s acquisition of SpectrumAI and AI Measures comes on the heels of its own acquisition by Roper Technologies for $1.65 billion earlier this year. This marks CentralReach’s first acquisition since being purchased by Roper Technologies and builds on the company’s AI strategy, which was launched 18 months ago.
CentralReach’s platform has traditionally supported fee-for-service providers in the autism and IDD space, but the new AI capabilities from SpectrumAI and AI Measures will also be used to expand its outcomes-based care service delivery model. This model emphasizes measurable clinical progress and quality-of-life improvements over the volume of services delivered, and the analytics and assessment tools acquired from these companies will enhance the platform’s ability to provide measurable insights.
CentralReach has a large user base of around 200,000 daily users, and its recent Q2 earnings call indicated that the company has been contributing to Roper Technologies’ increased revenue. CentralReach’s previous ventures into AI include the launch of its generative AI solution “cari” in 2023 and a partnership with AI company Collectly last fall to enhance its billing and patient engagement functionalities.
Since its inception in 2010, CentralReach has been recognized as one of the fastest-growing companies in the autism and IDD care software sector. The company’s rapid growth culminated in a $1 billion valuation before its acquisition by Roper Technologies. With CentralReach’s history of strategic acquisitions and focus on AI integration, it remains to be seen what further developments the company has in store for 2025.
