Bel Group, the renowned maker of Babybel and The Laughing Cow cheeses, recently announced their partnership with Kinaxis software to enhance operational performance and improve supply chain visibility. The integration of the Kinaxis Maestro platform across all Bel Group operations is set to revolutionize the company’s scenario planning capabilities.
By leveraging the Kinaxis software, Bel Group aims to mitigate disruptions and adapt quickly to changes in consumer demand. The platform allows planners to create and run various scenarios, utilize digital twins, and capture historical data in real-time. This enables Bel Group to have a single source of truth, real-time insights, and predictive solutions to respond swiftly to sudden shifts in demand, such as a viral recipe featuring one of their iconic products.
Moreover, Bel Group plans to utilize Maestro for short-term shelf-life management, multi-level distribution, and transportation optimization for their fresh products. Through collaboration with Kinaxis’ solution extension partner, 4flow, a supply chain consulting and software company, Bel Group will enhance truck management to reduce transportation costs and carbon emissions.
The introduction of the Maestro platform earlier this year at the Kinexions 2024 event marked a significant milestone for Kinaxis. President and CEO John Sicard described Maestro as an “AI-infused supply chain orchestration platform that provides real-time transparency and agility across the entire supply chain.”
Notably, other companies like tumbler manufacturer Stanley 1913 have also adopted the Maestro platform to predict and prevent supply chain disruptions successfully.
This strategic collaboration between Bel Group and Kinaxis signifies a progressive step towards optimizing operational efficiency and supply chain resilience in the food industry. As Bel Group continues to innovate and adapt to market dynamics, the integration of Kinaxis software is poised to drive sustainable growth and enhance customer satisfaction.
