CentralReach, a prominent player in the autism therapy software industry, is reportedly on the lookout for a potential sale as it has retained the services of investment bank William Blair & Co. According to a report by Business Insider, CentralReach is seeking a valuation of $1 billion based on $75 million in adjusted earnings.
While both a representative of CentralReach and CEO Chris Sullens declined to comment on the matter when questioned by Behavioral Health Business, they did not dispute the information provided by Business Insider. CentralReach offers a wide range of services including practice management, revenue cycle management, clinical products, staff development, and data analytics tools for the autism therapy and intellectual/developmental disability sectors. The software is utilized by approximately 185,000 professionals in the field.
In February 2018, Insight Venture Partners acquired a majority share of CentralReach, although the exact amount of the acquisition remains undisclosed. Since then, CentralReach has been active in making acquisitions, forming partnerships, and introducing new products and services to its portfolio.
One of the notable acquisitions made by CentralReach was that of Behavior Science Technology Inc. in September, which was founded by Troy and Patricia Glick. This acquisition was aimed at enhancing treatment plan fidelity monitoring within the platform. Additionally, CentralReach expanded its offerings for the educational setting through the acquisition of SILAS about a year ago, which added products related to screening, tracking, and curricula for social-emotional learning (SEL), applied behavior analysis (ABA), executive functioning, and transitional-vocational efforts.
CentralReach is also focusing on automation to streamline tasks and reduce administrative burdens for both clinical and non-clinical staff. For instance, the company’s AI agent, cari, is designed to automate customer scheduling and provider matching. With its commitment to innovation and growth, CentralReach continues to solidify its position as a leader in the autism therapy software industry.
