Seoul National University Bundang Hospital in South Korea has become the first hospital in the country to prescribe an AI-powered mobile application for diagnosing sleep apnoea. The app, called Apnotrack, is developed by medical AI company Asleep and utilizes AI technology to analyze a user’s breathing patterns to detect sleep apnoea.
Asleep claims that Apnotrack’s performance is comparable to at-home polysomnography tests, providing accurate results for patients. The app has received approval as a Class II medical device from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in South Korea, making it a reliable diagnostic tool for healthcare professionals.
