Shohei Ohtani, the modern-day Babe Ruth and star player for the Los Angeles Dodgers, has captured the hearts of baseball fans around the world with his incredible talent and charisma. But aside from his impressive skills on the field, Ohtani is also known for his love of a certain fast food burger – the iconic In-N-Out burger.
Despite hailing from Japan, Ohtani has spent seven years playing in the MLB on L.A. teams, which seems to have influenced his food cravings. In a 2022 interview, when asked about his favorite American food, Ohtani didn’t hesitate to name In-N-Out as his top choice. This wasn’t a one-time declaration either, as in another interview with Japanese media, Ohtani once again expressed his love for the famous burger chain.
It’s no surprise that Ohtani is a fan of In-N-Out, as the chain has a cult-like following among celebrities and food enthusiasts alike. From Kelly Ripa to Gordon Ramsey, many A-listers have professed their love for the delicious burgers served up by In-N-Out. In fact, when chefs were polled for their favorite fast food cheeseburger, In-N-Out took the top spot.
For those fans who may not have access to an In-N-Out location, there’s no need to worry. Recreating the beloved Double-Double burger at home is entirely possible, allowing fans to enjoy a taste of Ohtani’s favorite fast food treat while watching him dominate on the baseball diamond. And while we may not be able to match Ohtani’s record-breaking home runs, we can certainly appreciate his taste in food and celebrate his success both on and off the field.
