Lower-middle-market private equity firm NexPhase Capital has recently announced the acquisition of Behavior Frontiers, a leading autism therapy provider. The financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed at this time.
Behavior Frontiers, which was previously backed by Lorient Capital, has expanded its presence to include 26 centers and home-based care branches across 12 states. It is unclear if Lorient Capital remains part of the investor group or the extent of shares acquired by NexPhase Capital.
Andy Kieffer, a partner at NexPhase, expressed confidence in the business and its ability to serve more families in both existing and new markets nationwide. NexPhase plans to utilize its resources and experience in working with ABA providers to support Behavior Frontiers in delivering personalized care for children.

Founded in 2004 by CEO Helen Mader, Behavior Frontiers has grown significantly under her leadership. The company has expanded its reach beyond California and developed a proprietary practice management software system called PrioraCare.
The current executive team will continue to lead Behavior Frontiers, with NexPhase Capital Operating Partners Barbara Hill and John Kill collaborating to support the company’s growth. Over the past five years, the company has seen a substantial increase in its client base and workforce.
