New York Governor Allocates Funding for Hospital Modernization Projects
Democratic New York Governor Kathy Hochul recently announced a significant investment of up to $188 million in capital funding to support hospital modernization projects across the state. These funds will help facilitate various technology initiatives, including electronic health record (EHR) integrations, emergency department (ED) enhancements, and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) improvements. The primary goal of these initiatives is to bring vital resources to underserved communities and improve healthcare delivery in New York.
Healthcare Safety Net Transformation Program
Under the Healthcare Safety Net Transformation Program, seven hospitals and healthcare partnerships in New York will receive funding to address infrastructure gaps, enhance operational efficiency, and improve care delivery. Governor Hochul has also committed to expanding the program further in 2026 to continue supporting essential healthcare initiatives in the state.
