Behavioral health provider Oceans Healthcare has made a significant acquisition, adding Haven Behavioral Healthcare to its network of facilities. This move has brought seven new locations under the Oceans Healthcare umbrella, expanding its reach to five additional states: Arizona, Idaho, Ohio, New Mexico, and Pennsylvania.
Stuart Archer, CEO of Oceans Healthcare, expressed his enthusiasm for the acquisition, stating, “Oceans has consistently sought opportunities that would expand our ability to provide access to care for at-risk populations in underserved communities. Oceans Healthcare currently operates 48 facilities across nine states, offering a wide range of mental health services including inpatient and outpatient care, intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs, specialized military programs, and substance use disorder treatment. The provider is backed by private equity firm Webster Equity Partners, which also supports other healthcare entities such as Baymark Health Services and Discovery Behavioral Health.
Haven Behavioral Healthcare, based in Nashville, Tennessee, specializes in acute inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. With seven acute inpatient psychiatric hospitals and one outpatient facility, Haven has been serving its communities since 2006. With the addition of Haven, Oceans Healthcare now boasts approximately 4,000 employees. The provider plans to enhance access to care in its new markets and improve care delivery through this strategic partnership.
