The missing design in question is the Spooky Cat Shape Cookies, and they are finally back in the Pillsbury Halloween lineup. While it may not be Halloween yet, who says you can’t have some spooky fun in July and August? The Pillsbury Doughboy certainly thinks so. In addition to the Spooky Cat Shape Cookies, the Pumpkin and Ghost Shape Cookies are also back this year for another round of festive baking.
The return of the Spooky Cat Shape Cookies is all thanks to the fans who voted for its comeback during the brand’s Halloween Open Call last year. The excitement among fans is palpable, with many taking to social media to express their joy and anticipation for the return of these iconic cookies.
The new Spooky Cat Shape Cookies will be made entirely with sugar cookie dough, similar to the most recent 2015 version. What’s more, the new dough for these Halloween shapes is now safe to eat raw, giving fans the option to enjoy them baked or straight from the fridge.
In addition to the returning designs, Pillsbury is also introducing a brand new festive cookie dough this year – the Sugar Skull Shape Cookie in honor of Día de los Muertos. The packaging includes baking instructions in both English and Spanish, and like the other shapes, the dough is safe to eat raw.
These seasonal cookies will be available in pre-sliced, 20-count boxes at retailers nationwide starting in August.
