Despite continued circulation reported through passive laboratory surveillance, reporting to the National Adenovirus Type Reporting System has decreased. The authors suggest that expanded laboratory capacity for typing HAdVs and enhanced reporting could provide better insight into circulation patterns and guide public health prevention strategies.
