Singapore’s Ministry of Health and the Central Provident Fund (CPF) Board have recently introduced a cutting-edge digital tool aimed at revolutionizing health insurance planning for individuals.
The newly launched Health Insurance Planner (HIP) available on the CPF website is designed to assist individuals in visualizing their MediSave medical savings and health insurance premiums. The tool allows users to compare benefits, features, and premiums across private insurance plans based on their preferred ward type. Furthermore, individuals can project the premiums for up to 30 years for their selected private insurance plans and corresponding rider.
According to the Ministry of Health (MOH), the HIP serves as an additional resource for Singaporeans to make informed decisions regarding their health insurance coverage.

In a bid to enhance payment convenience and security, Central Hospital, a private healthcare facility in Cambodia, has partnered with Sathapana Bank to facilitate mobile bank payments.
The collaboration between Central Hospital and Sathapana Bank aims to reduce cash transactions, enhance payment security, and streamline payment processes through automated banking services. Patients now have the option to settle their hospital bills conveniently through the Sathapana Bank mobile app. Moreover, the partnership extends exclusive hospital discounts to Sathapana Bank clients, incentivizing the adoption of mobile banking for healthcare transactions.
As part of the memorandum of understanding, Sathapana Bank employees are also entitled to additional healthcare benefits, further strengthening the partnership between the two entities.
Yuan’s General Hospital Integrates AI Technology into Hospital Information System
Yuan’s General Hospital in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, has taken a significant step forward by incorporating generative AI technology into its hospital information system (HIS).
Collaborating with local company TPIsoftware, the 625-bed hospital has revamped its HIS platform to streamline data extraction, document processing, and medical decision support. The enhanced system features smart search capabilities for rapid medical record retrieval and patient summary generation, along with automatic data format conversion compliant with FHIR standards. Additionally, the HIS automates data querying and reconciliation processes, enhancing operational efficiency and patient care delivery at the hospital.

The Han e-Campus offers a wide range of educational resources, including video lectures, webinars, and clinical practice guidelines, focusing on the application of traditional Korean medicine techniques and research. The website aims to improve the accessibility of traditional Korean medicine education for doctors, students, healthcare professionals, and the general public, promoting the preservation and advancement of this ancient healing practice.
